Linen fibres, considered the most valuable among natural fibres, are obtained from the stem of a small plant (Linum Usitatissimum), about one metre tall, with small blue flowers, making it the oldest and most widespread fabric. Linen fibre has high resistance and is hygroscopic, meaning it tends to absorb moisture very well.
