Sartori is an Italian factory that was born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for high-quality design with an ancient tradition of hand-woven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling marvellous carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920 a second one in Rovigo, for selling home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori carpet design started becoming popular in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded the Italian market design worldwide. These elegant carpets gained recognition across the globe, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required the opening of headquarters in China. An important project emerged in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved its way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and bring them back to life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, repainted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special carpet, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.

Absolutely all our carpets are entirely handmade using high-quality noble materials and originate from projects developed in Italy, under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international brand that sells carpets of outstanding quality and value worldwide and serves as a reference point for made-in-Italy designer carpets.
