Production Process

The best machining processes are applied to every part to ensure ultra-smooth operation and unparalleled reliability. The final polish is given by expert polishers who hand-finish each part to a flawless shine.

Why solid stainless steel?

The beauty and properties of stainless steel have made it the ideal choice for many sculptures and landmarks, such as the top of the Chrysler Building in New York, the Gateway Arch defining the St. Louis skyline, and the Atomium in Brussels. These same properties make it the best choice for many industrial and commercial applications, including the production of high-quality bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor fittings.

In 1998, MGS produced the first stainless steel mixer for domestic use. No other manufacturer before MGS had used it for this purpose due to costs and technical difficulties: stainless steel is more expensive than brass and more complex to work with due to its hardness and higher melting temperature. These factors did not deter MGS, as the goal was to offer discerning customers the best possible products.

- It is 100% lead-free, allowing MGS to be the first European manufacturer to obtain NSF61 Annex G compliance certification. This also meets new low-lead requirements in the USA. The Safe Drinking Water Act, which came into effect in January 2014.

- The finish is achieved through hand polishing, not chemical processes like chrome plating or coating. Polished stainless steel is exceptionally scratch-resistant and durable.

- It is 100% recyclable, with a large portion made from recycled materials (about 60%).

- Stainless steel does not release nickel, making it ideal for those allergic to it.

- The non-porous surface is more resistant to bacteria and germs, making it a more hygienic choice in the kitchen or bathroom.

- It is perfectly suited for outdoor installations as stainless steel is resistant to oxidation.

Some competitors now use stainless steel sheets or tubes to cover an internal brass body. This shortcut may allow for reduced production costs while providing some of the benefits listed above, but certainly not all!

Warranty

MGS products come with a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase on all stainless steel parts and a 2-year warranty on all other components. During this period, parts with design, material, or workmanship defects will be replaced free of charge.
