In complete opposition to this state of affairs is the philosophy of the brand Berti Knives, which produces exclusive knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this family-run workshop seems entirely detached from the trends that have occurred worldwide over the years. Its main guiding principle is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these experienced craftsmen.

The owners firmly oppose the idea of mass production using unskilled labour, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the manufactured products. Therefore, the philosophy of their workshop places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this Italian family is not closed to any innovations. They are indeed desirable, provided they introduce elements that do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.

Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialised groups of workers but are often carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is entirely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials - the blades are made of steel, and the handles are made from buffalo, bison, and deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.

The brand's owners encourage that their knives, although intended for everyday use, be treated with the respect they deserve, which guarantees their long-lasting durability. Each one is, after all, a small, unique work of art.
