Description

Music of the Night is a new anthology of original stories submitted by members of the Crime Writers' Association (CWA) and edited by Martin Edwards, with music as the unifying theme. The aim, as always, is to create a book that is representative of both the genre and the membership of the world's foremost crime writers' association.

The CWA has been publishing anthologies of members' stories for most years since 1956, and Martin Edwards has been the editor for over 25 years, during which time the anthologies have featured many award-winning and nominated stories by writers such as Ian Rankin, Reginald Hill, Lawrence Block, and Edward D. Hoch.

The stories of long-standing authors and stellar names sit alongside entries from relatively new, overseas authors and members whose work has not previously appeared in a CWA anthology. Among the talented stars of today whose fiction appeared in a CWA anthology early in their crime-writing careers are Mick Herron, Frank Tallis, and Sarah Hilary. This is not a closed shop and never has been.
