The mysterious name conceals one word in two languages. It is a combination of the English version of the word “my” – MY and its Italian equivalent – MIA. MY+MIA =MIYA- This is the new collection from Montegrappa. The name of the collection suggests that its owner possesses a “personal”, very “individual” writing jewel. MIYA is available in three colours of celluloid: red, yellow, and turquoise. Celluloid is a material that requires a long maturation process and is then subjected to many treatments, which give it an exclusive character. All these processes make celluloid very delicate and pleasant to the touch, as well as giving it a durable, slightly shimmering colour.
We would like to introduce you to an innovative slightly convex shape at the junction of the cap and the barrel. The barrel and cap are made of celluloid, while the details are crafted from sterling silver. The cap is decorated with Montegrappa's characteristic Greek pattern representing perfect symmetry. The clip is equipped with Montegrappa's distinctive ball, which perfectly complements the shape of the collection. The fountain pen features a nib made of 18-carat gold, a new ebonite feeder, and a dual ink filling system: converter or ink cartridges.
