Malabar's furniture production comes from the Porto area, a northern region in Portugal, with a long and strong tradition in handcrafted products.

The identity of this unique brand is based on the national architectural and artistic heritage of the past 5 centuries.

The company's name itself comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the cape. It was the value of original spices that prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a bold sea route.

Raw materials used by Malabar?

The brand uses the most refined varieties of wood. These include ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird's eye, uneven, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also employs ancient lacquer application techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, rose, and tiger colour leaf are applied and then lacquered. 

Types of glass used by the manufacturer: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique bronze.

The types of marble are also varied, including sahara, grey kenzo, nero marquina, portoro, gris douro, black gold, Gwatemala Verde, tiger skin, ochiro, calacatta vagli, Estremoz, carrara gold, carrara, white extremez, travertine.

Metals have been selected based on performance and quality.
