Description
Unopiù is a leading brand in the production of distinctive outdoor furniture and accessories, founded in Italy in the heart of Tuscia over forty years ago. Its mission is to furnish every outdoor space of the home with the same care and passion dedicated to interiors, imagining and creating spaces in a functional and prestigious way to experience moments of relaxation and inspiration with an Italian flavour.
The brand offers a "total look" for every type of environment, from urban balconies to large villa gardens surrounded by greenery; with complete collections of furniture, structures, and accessories, Unopiù is able to meet every style required by the customer, from the most classic to the most modern design.
MATERIALS
Nowadays, the blending of outdoor and indoor styles is increasingly evident, but outdoor products must be researched and utilise materials with unique properties to withstand outdoor life. Unopiù materials are always chosen for their unparalleled quality of resistance to all weather conditions, even the most extreme ones.
SUSTAINABILITY
Teak has always been the preferred material for creating garden furniture, thanks to its exceptional durability and weather resistance. Unopiù uses the highest quality "Grade A" teak wood, in full compliance with eco-sustainable development procedures. The high-quality materials used make Unopiù products a durable choice of furniture built with long-term use in mind.
Teak is probably the most environmentally friendly material used in the garden furniture industry: not only is it recyclable, but it is also truly renewable. Just plant a seed in the ground, and nature takes care of the rest. As the teak tree grows, it also transforms the planet's carbon dioxide into valuable oxygen.
Unopiù uses teak wood from Indonesia, a country that has the largest and oldest certified teak plantations in the world: they are owned by the Indonesian government and are a major source of employment in the country. Teak is cultivated like any other crop: harvesting and replanting are carried out in accordance to ensure that the plantations, first established at the end of the 19th century, remain a renewable source of income for future generations.
WOOD
Environmental and nature protection for the brand starts not only with the use of teak wood from certified plantations but also with the creation of a reforestation project in collaboration with Treedom. A clear vision of a specific plan that enabled the planting of 300 cocoa trees in Cameroon in 2020. In the future, Unopiù will continue to care for the environment and make concrete gestures as part of new reforestation projects worldwide: a small but solid contribution aimed at reducing CO2 emissions and promoting the strengthening of local economies.
INNOVATION
The brand's ambition is to create environments with a unique flavour, where one can surround oneself with a personalised and unique atmosphere to savour the most beautiful moments of life, alone or in company. In fact, since its inception, Unopiù has constantly sought to innovate in the world of stylish garden furniture, combining style, innovation, research, and passion. For this reason, every product it brings to market is the result of thought rooted in its history. The use of innovative materials and processes in the outdoor market, such as the C'est la vie line or the Solare line, demonstrates the desire to pursue continuous innovation supported by ongoing technological advancement.
The selection of the most suitable raw materials for the production of garden and terrace furniture is a delicate process. Outdoor material must combine essential qualities such as elegance and resistance to external conditions, bad weather, and sunlight. Unopiù does not hold back on this kind of choice and even goes a step further: while every element of the collection is made from classic garden material, Unopiù is also very attentive to the environment and the durability of its products.
A vast selection of materials used in crafting these elegant garden furniture pieces from various lines allows for creativity and guarantees a diverse choice to create outdoor environments suitable for all style and spatial needs. Unopiù furniture is the result of over forty years of experience, always focused on the pursuit of beauty and harmony between the most skilled craftsmanship and an innovative spirit, which translates into cutting-edge production techniques. This results in unique products that are durable and retain their value over time. To meet every aesthetic need, the range varies from more traditional to contemporary styles, from teak wood to metal, from synthetic fibres to ropes, while maintaining the quality of designs, the quality of materials, and their durability over time. The natural warmth of wood The wood essences that make up many Unopiù pieces contain all the warm elegance of this material and combine it with modern technologies that make them resistant to long-term outdoor use. Thus, wood, whether teak or mahogany, becomes the best material for outdoor tables, sofas, armchairs, and many other variations of the Unopiù style. Durable and historically used by the brand to create flooring and furniture of great value, mahogany is another star of the Unopiù lines, such as C'est La Vie. By nature, mahogany is weather-resistant, but Unopiù provides further polishing treatment to ensure its beauty remains unchanged. Iroko, which adorns the Salento collection, is a wood with such resistance to water and moisture that it has earned the nickname "oily." Therefore, it is an excellent material, both for its beauty and this hydrophobic feature, for furniture intended for use in gardens, on terraces, and balconies. But wood is also creativity. The Wood Skin process transforms wood fibres into sheets that bend, twist, and adapt to the most whimsical shapes, like origami. This technology gives rigid materials the ability to bend, thanks to digital milling and hinges, thus adding three-dimensionality. The process is reversible. An innovative technique suitable for use in many different areas, such as Urbn balcony furniture. Solid and versatile as metal The lightness of aluminium embodies the soul of the most minimalist Unopiù collections, such as Tline and Shibuya. Its light and luminous nuances blend wonderfully with technical materials that complement these elements, transforming them into true protagonists of any outdoor environment, also thanks to their low maintenance requirements. Solid and classic, powder-coated galvanised iron and steel are ideal materials that evoke the resilience and charm of charming Unopiù collections, such as Aurora and Toscana, from the past. Weaves and leather provide a unique style Hand-woven polyolefin rope is one of Unopiù's trademarks: a material that has characterised its production for years, resistant to outdoor use, eco-friendly, and featuring a natural appearance that sets it apart from all other synthetic fibres. Unopiù's synthetic rope has the softness and tactile pleasure of delicate natural fabrics, yet the strength of a high-tech material, as evidenced by the success of the Luce collection. The synthetic fibre WaProLace is a luxurious Unopiù patent and characterises some of its most popular lines, such as Capri and Agorà. This next-generation synthetic material knows no defeat in the face of all the hazards of outdoor life: sun, rain, salty air, but also chlorine and sunscreen from an afternoon by the pool, to mould, bacteria, and fungi that affect appearance and structure. Moreover, WaProLace embodies Unopiù's ecological awareness: it is biodegradable and recyclable. Not to mention the aesthetic aspect: this aesthetic fibre is not only beautiful but also pleasant to the touch, antistatic, and easy to clean.
Leather is the most distinctive element of the historical Chelsea collection and its chairs. The leather used by Unopiù is handcrafted according to the ancient traditional Tuscan vegetable tanning technique, which utilises tree tannins in an environmentally friendly way. This process transforms raw hides into eco-friendly leather, giving the final product unique nuances.
Fabric for garden cushions: fifty shades
Within the Color collection, thirteen colours are available off the shelf. Among them, three form the Outdoor Acrylic family in shades of diamond, milk, and hazelnut. These highly technical, top-quality fabrics are designed and created specifically for outdoor use; the solution dyeing technology culminates in an innovative finish. This technique ensures the fabric colours remain unchanged over time, resistant to organic factors such as mould and fungi, and atmospheric factors like UV rays. Moreover, comfort is not forgotten, as Outdoor Acrylic fabrics are breathable and pleasant to the touch.
The remaining ten colours of the Color collection belong to the Waterproof family. This innovative fabric is unique in its composition, a clever blend of polypropylene and polyester. Modernity, therefore, but also the softness of nature thanks to the soft feel of the fabric; the checkered texture enhances this natural mood and adds extra elegance.
Waterproof fabrics are completely impermeable to all liquids. If necessary, cushions covered with waterproof fabric can be easily washed both by hand and in the washing machine: quick washing, even quicker drying, and the fabric will be as good as new.
Unopiù's new Velluto fabrics are a unique line, born from Fischbacher's research into plastic recycling. A noble and top-tier collection of on-demand cushions for sofas, armchairs, and beds features 7 colour variants, all of extraordinary elegance and sophistication. True velvet to the touch, warm, delicate, and very soft to the touch, yet in reality, 70% of the yarn used comes from recycled PET bottles. The result is a high-quality eco-friendly product, resistant to external factors and light, fire-resistant, and suitable for all environments, both indoor and outdoor, public and private.
