High-quality porcelain combined with a prestigious history is synonymous with the Seltmann brand. Founded in 1910, the company "Porzellanfabriken Christian Seltmann" (Seltmann Weiden) transformed into a group of enterprises through the acquisition of "Königlich Privierte Porzellanfabrik Tettau" (Königlich Tettau) along with four specialised porcelain manufacturers and an art department established in 1990 and 1995 as a family business. In 5 plants, around 800 employees produce excellent porcelain for households, hospitality, and social catering. Another aim is the production of particularly original figurines and gifts.

Thanks to the Königlich Tettau porcelain factory (the oldest porcelain factory in Bavaria), the Seltmann Group has over 200 years of experience in porcelain production. The famous naturalist Alexander von Humboldt fought for the establishment of the manufactory. This took place in 1794 by the privilege of King Frederick William II of Prussia.

An even longer tradition of porcelain craftsmanship (almost 250 years) can be found at the site of the oldest still-producing porcelain factory in Thuringia in Rudolstadt / Volkstedt. The "Oldest Volkstedter Porcelain Manufactory" was expanded in 2007 into a "transparent porcelain manufactory," and four factories with an art department in Volkstedt were combined "under one roof." Quarzsandwerke Weissenbrunn is a supplier of high-quality raw materials and finished masses for the ceramics industry and is also part of the group.

As one of the few porcelain manufacturers operating worldwide, the Seltmann Group possesses exceptionally broad know-how in production: from high-tech production in one of the most modern porcelain factories in Europe to pure craftsmanship in the factories (location Rudolstadt / Thuringia). In addition to the ever-developing specialised fields of hospitality / gastronomy, mass catering / collective catering, and incentive programmes, the Seltmann group of companies primarily targets families in the domestic porcelain industry, who usually place great importance on a wide range of products that can be purchased later.

Production knowledge, passed down from generation to generation in the Upper Palatinate, cannot be replaced to this day, thus ensuring jobs with the quality mark "Made in Germany" - here in Germany.
