Description

The incredible adventure of Eric Stepniewski with bronze began in 1973 in his hometown of Paris, where he started working as an antiques dealer. After many years of running his Gallery, he took over the famous brand specialising in galvanising and restoring antiques: Bettencourt.

In 1989, he decided to take the company to the next level and moved to Poland, his parents' country, to create his own collections using his favourite materials: gold, silver, malachite, and lapis lazuli.

TRANSMISSION AND EXPERTISE

“I have endeavoured to gather the best experts to create unique and unparalleled works. You will never see the same details in another piece, and all the work is done by masterful hands.”

CREATION AND EXPERIENCE

From design to production – today, everything takes place in the same factory.

As a result, you will find all the professions necessary to produce such exquisite details, each piece individually and hand-crafted by our experienced artisans (from carpenter to turner).

They have specialised in working with rare and noble materials, such as Malachite, Lapis Lazuli, Brass, and Wood.

Materials

MALACHITE

Malachite is a semi-precious stone originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Used in jewellery, but also as decoration (vases, columns, clocks, furniture), especially in Russia since the 18th century. It is beneficial for health to wear it as a bracelet due to its anti-rheumatic healing properties. We are delighted to work with a stone that is becoming increasingly difficult to find each year.

LAPIS

Lapis is a semi-precious stone originating from Afghanistan. It has been used since antiquity (Tutankhamun's sarcophagus) and in jewellery. Since the 18th century, it has been used for furniture, vases, clocks, and various objects.

BRASS

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, with up to 40% zinc in its composition.

GOLD

Gold is one of the most sought-after materials in the world. We use it in almost all our creations. Depending on the country and value, it has different titles: 9 carats, 14 ct, 18 ct, and 24 ct (pure gold). To gild our items and ensure the highest quality for our clients, we use only 24-carat gold by the galvanising method.

CRYSTAL

We use crystal mainly for lamps or vases in various shapes and colours. It is hand-cut by specialised artisans.
