Every item produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in terms of the craftsmanship of each piece and the unparalleled technique that makes imitation difficult. These items are entirely modelled and hand-painted in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain with printed textures. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the statue's body. Hairstyles are also occasionally crafted by hand. On the "biscuit" terracotta, faces, clothes, and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece is ultimately subjected to further firing known as "third fire". Any additional details, such as violin strings or wasp tripods, are applied at this stage to the finished piece.

From porcelain paste to production, the entire process is fully developed in the workshops in Isola Vicentina, where skilled craftsmen, designers, and painters meticulously refine each figurine and give each face its own expression. Inspired by the stylistic and technical features of the so-called Capodimonte porcelain traditional craftsmanship, Sibania has been producing porcelain since 1980. Emerging from this tradition, characterised by exceptional manual skills, the company strives to introduce continuous innovations while maintaining unchanged craftsmanship and Italian craftsmanship as a reference point.

The manufactory places great importance on the centuries-old tradition of the artisan workshop with precise material research, and one of their goals is continuous innovation of the product with respect for human health: using only non-toxic materials, free from lead, cadmium, and other compounds hazardous to health. With experiences from Capodimonte porcelain, it can be proudly said that since the mid-80s, Sibania has been a leading company in this field of porcelain doll production. Indeed, since the 80s, production has been based on their own models of biscuit components for the most important artisan workshops and porcelain doll companies in Italy. In 1998, the company began producing figurines, small sculptures that mainly depict children. On one hand, constantly remembering the productive finishing and decoration techniques acquired during Capodimonte experiences, and on the other, introducing new stylistic and technical methods. The unique and specific techniques used by Sibania, as well as the widespread use of manual skills, allow us to say that their works are unique.

These stylish figurines aim to be a representation of the world, the world of childhood, full of emotions and evoking feelings in those who come into contact with it; believing that the purity of porcelain makes it the most suitable material for the artistic representation of children's innocence and purity. For the realisation of these sculptures, traditional techniques are the starting point for a more innovative and contemporary representation, as the current and contemporary expression of the company's works is particular.
