The French company Toison d'Or was founded in 1954. It began with the production of double-sided woollen and Scottish blankets made from noble and natural materials for the general public. It established numerous collaborations with fashion designers (Courrèges, Pierre Cardin, and Guy Laroche), which quickly solidified its position as a leader in the elegant blanket market in France.

In 2005, Toison d'Or expanded its range to include beautiful duvets, pillows, and also fancy bedspreads.

Currently, the French manufacturer also offers a complete collection with additional bedding protection assortments, sheets and duvet covers, mattress toppers, and bedding accessories.
