Every item produced by Sibania is absolutely unique in terms of the craftsmanship of each piece and the unrivalled technique that makes imitation difficult. These items are entirely modelled and hand-painted in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain with printed textures. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the statue's body. Hairstyles are also occasionally crafted by hand. On the "biscuit" terracotta, faces, clothes, and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece is finally subjected to further firing known as "third fire". Any additional details, such as violin strings or wasp tripods, are applied at this stage to the finished piece.

The highest quality porcelain combined with handcrafting and distinctive designs is synonymous with the Sibania brand. It is a nod to true craftsmanship, human dexterity, and times when handmade was a valued product. The marvellous porcelain dolls are their hallmark, now known worldwide. Sibania is an Italian company based in Vicenza. Italian craftsmanship and the tradition of artisan workshops are the foundation of the brand's ongoing research into materials and production techniques.  

From porcelain paste to production, the entire process is fully developed in workshops in Isola Vicentina, where skilled craftsmen, designers, and painters meticulously refine each figurine and give each face its own expression. Inspired by the stylistic and technical features of the traditional craftsmanship of so-called Capodimonte porcelain, Sibania has been producing porcelain since 1980. Emerging from this tradition, characterised by exceptional manual skills, the company strives to introduce continuous innovation while maintaining unchanged craftsmanship and Italian artistry as a reference point.

The manufactory places great importance on the centuries-old tradition of the artisan workshop with precise material research, and one of their goals is continuous product innovation with respect for human health: using only non-toxic materials, free from lead, cadmium, and other compounds hazardous to health. With experiences in Capodimonte porcelain, it can proudly be said that since the mid-1980s, Sibania has been a leading company in this field of porcelain doll production. Indeed, since the 1980s, production has been based on their own models of biscuit components for the most important artisan workshops and porcelain doll manufacturing companies in Italy. In 1998, the company began producing figurines, small sculptures mainly depicting children. On one hand, constantly remembering the productive finishing and decoration techniques acquired during Capodimonte experiences, and on the other, introducing new stylistic and technical methods. The unique and specific techniques used by Sibania, along with the widespread use of manual skills, allow it to be said that their works are unique.

These romantic figurines aim to represent a world, a world of childhood, full of emotions and evoking feelings in those who come into contact with it; believing that the purity of porcelain makes it the most suitable material for the artistic representation of childhood innocence and purity. For the realisation of these sculptures, traditional techniques are the starting point for a more innovative and contemporary representation, as the particular expression of the company's works is current and contemporary.
