Sartori is an Italian factory that was born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for high-quality design with an old tradition of hand-woven knots. Their adventure began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second one in Rovigo, for selling home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern Sartori carpet design started to become popular in Scandinavian countries, the brand caught onto this trend and developed the Italian market design for the whole world. These exciting carpets gained recognition globally, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required the opening of a headquarters in China. An important project emerged in 2008. From the collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea paved its way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. Thus, the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, repainted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special carpet, a product of noble materials that perfectly fits into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.

All our carpets are entirely handmade using high-quality noble materials and are born from projects developed in Italy, under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international company that sells carpets of outstanding quality and value worldwide and serves as a reference point for Italian-made designer carpets.
