Description

Original design combined with the highest quality wood is synonymous with the M’Art brand. It is also the registered trademark of handcrafted wooden pens, which has been on the market for several years. M’Art's goal is to create a product capable of satisfying emotional needs and rediscovering the pleasure of owning an object of rare beauty, which is a delight to behold and hold. All handcrafted products are the result of meticulous market research into the best mechanisms to offer the customer an excellent pen and pencil. The wood is selected from those commonly used in luthiery, characterised by exceptional hardness, beauty, and elegance, making it particularly suitable for the production of elegant writing instruments. Every stage of the production of handcrafted wooden pens is strictly manual and concludes with a thorough quality check. The result, meeting expectations, brings the joy of owning a "unique" object, as one would expect from a handcrafted piece.

It is a pleasure to seek wood of absolute value, carefully selected and sourced from around the world. Identifying the various mechanisms of these writing instruments, which can synthesise weight and balance to make them enjoyable to use, is very complex and satisfying. Creating handcrafted wooden pens requires particular skills and knowledge of techniques, raw materials, and tools, allowing one to reach the final product through a rather lengthy process, demanding great attention. In the production of handcrafted pens, any small mistake, especially during turning, can mean the loss of an element and the need to start over. Preparing wooden pens involves inserting a brass core, which represents the pen's skeleton. Turning, finishing, and assembly are the subsequent stages of processing. Finishing is a particularly important phase, where the pen's scratch resistance, coverage, and gloss will be determined. At the end of the process, a meticulous quality check will be conducted.

INTELLIGENCE IN HANDS
Each handcrafted M'Art pen is a jewel resulting from the harmonious integration of sought-after wood from around the world, top-quality mechanisms, style, and sobriety, and a very high level of craftsmanship. From the meeting of these excellences, a unique and very elegant product is born. M'Art's production includes a full range of models of wooden pens and pencils, including fountain pens, rollerball pens, ballpoint pens, gel pens, and pencils with variable stroke and softness.

PENS AND PENCILS WITH MARBLE EFFECT
Following the flattering results achieved in the production of wooden pens and pencils, the company has embarked on a new, special artisanal production on the same models. These are hand-painted pens and pencils with a marble effect in 5 different colours depending on the chosen marble (orange, blue, grey, black, green). This process, very delicate in the execution phase, proves to be very durable and scratch-resistant once finished. The artisan creates original and prestigious items, of great beauty and never banal. M'Art is an Italian registered trademark of wooden pens and pencils, best representing the artisanal production of writing instruments, unique and recognisable items.

Wood is the central element of M'Art's handcrafted pens, and therefore its selection represents extraordinary strength. The synthesis of laborious research into natural essences from many parts of the world and the long and careful seasoning of this living, unique, and versatile material allows for the creation of magnificent writing instruments. All in full respect of nature and the environment. Every stage of the production of handcrafted pens, from turning to engraving the brand, is strictly manual. When combined with great attention to detail and careful quality control, the result is an extremely reliable product of unquestionable value, capable of satisfying the aesthetic taste of even the most demanding.
Original gift box

If you have decided to gift a wooden M’Art pen to a loved one or yourself, it means you expect something exceptional. Such a unique item requires equally exceptional packaging. The packaging is made entirely by hand from wood, with a lining and finishes that have a significant visual impact. It includes the writing instrument, a leather pen holder matched to the type of wood from which the pen is made, and a parchment describing the properties of the wood used. The trademark, like the entire production of "M'Art" writing instruments, is handcrafted, usually on the clip.

Each of the pens and pencils can be personalised with names or dedications, and can be engraved in cursive or block letters, in both uppercase and lowercase, on both the cap and the body of the pen.
Luxury pen and pencil from your piece of wood.
Everyone reminisces about moments that are special in their life. They are often associated with objects, scents, and places. It is often an old wooden table, chair, or toy hidden deep in the attic. The manufacturer M’Art Penne has come up with something that defies conventional patterns, creating a pen or pencil from your piece of wood. It is a nod to memories, but above all to objects that are special in our lives. Simply send a photo, and the manufacturer will assess whether it can be made into a fountain pen, rollerball, or ballpoint pen.
Below is a description of the wood most commonly used for the production of M’Art artisanal pens.
They have been chosen for their specific properties of hardness, beauty, density, and seasonality, making them ideal materials for producing writing instruments of exceptional quality.

Bubinga
Originates from equatorial Africa, more widespread in countries surrounding the Gulf of Guinea. Despite being very hard wood, it is easy to work with. Bubinga is widely used in violin making. Its colour ranges from rather light brown-pink to dark purple-brown, has a fine structure and is not too porous, often with visible veins.
Cocobolo
Grows in Central America from Mexico to Panama. The dark orange colour is characterised by dark brown veins. It is quite difficult to work with and glue due to its oiliness. It has roughly the same stiffness and hardness properties as ebony and is widely used in lutherie.
Ebony
So valued among precious wood species that it gave rise to the term cabinetry, and is particularly used in lutherie. It is black or very dark brown in colour. It is very dense and requires very slow seasoning. It is highly sought after and very expensive wood depending on its rarity.
Macassar Ebony
Originates from Equatorial Africa and Asia and is a very dense wood in black or dark brown, with more or less visible whitish or reddish veins or shades and a fine grain. It is very dense and requires very slow seasoning. It is highly sought after and very expensive wood depending on its rarity.
Padouk
This is African mahogany and looks very similar to briar, especially madrona briar. Figured Sipo Pomellè is an extremely hard wood that stands out with bright streaks that give it colour and reflections that give it a cloud effect.
Pau Violeto
This is wood with noble historical roots, of great beauty, widely used in furniture making and lutherie. The briar has dark, varied and irregular veins and spots. Very delicate texture. Unusual hardness. Damaged and irregular grain.
Olive
This is one of the most valuable and expensive "local" woods. Brown-yellow wood with lighter streaks and coloured with darker streaks. Very delicate texture. Unusual hardness and excellent workability is used in many very valuable productions.
