Murano Glass Chalcedon is a type of glass characterised by a unique, iridescent surface, created by adding metal flakes to the glass mixture. The result is a piece of glass that appears to have a shimmering effect, with swirls of various colours running through it.

Particularly difficult to produce, chalcedony glass has the property of combining silver salts and other colouring oxides with the canonical glass melting process: it is this extraordinary chemical process, combined with the talent of the Murano masters, that allows for the creation of marvellous works with a dark, matte background interspersed with enchanting warm and dark tones, a true whirl of lights and shadows, capable of captivating even the most experienced observer's eyes with its fantastic swirls.

The Arte Di Murano manufactory was born in 1986 thanks to the young entrepreneur Alfonso Morgillo.
