Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling marvellous rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second one in Rovigo, for selling home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori rug design began to gain popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded the Italian market design to the entire world. These elegant rugs gain recognition globally, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required the opening of headquarters in China. A very important project emerged in 2008. From the collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved its way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. Thus, the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, repainted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that perfectly fits into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
