OC implements the highest quality standards in its production. This is due not only to the selection of top-class materials but also to a significant ecological awareness. This influences the product creation process.
The company began its operations in 1987, revolutionising the world of weaving craftsmanship. It eagerly uses Himalayan wool sourced from the fleece of local sheep. These sheep graze at altitudes over 4200 metres above sea level, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This particular feature makes OC carpets more stain-resistant.
The intriguing shades are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations for carpet production are a blend of Venetian materials, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and, as in this case, nature. Many designs are inspired by the shapes of tropical leaves or the spectacle of the sun setting over the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
All Odegard Carpets products are handmade from selected silk yarns and Himalayan wool. The dyeing process is entirely natural. Organic materials are used, such as nuts, roots, or saffron, while maintaining the highest quality.
