Sartori is an Italian factory that was born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for high-quality design with an old tradition of hand-woven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920 a second one in Rovigo, for the sale of home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern Sartori carpet design began to gain popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and developed the Italian market design for the whole world. These elegant carpets gained recognition globally, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required the opening of headquarters in China. An important project emerged in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved its way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. Thus, the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, repainted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special carpet, a product of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.

Absolutely all our carpets are entirely handmade using exceptionally noble materials and originate from projects developed in Italy, under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international company that sells carpets of excellent quality and value worldwide and serves as a reference point for Italian-made designer carpets.
