In this wonderful oil on canvas, the painter draws inspiration from Capricci Architektonicznych, a 17th-century genre of painting characterised by the depiction of fantastical architectures or perspective inventions, often combined with drawing elements freely taken from reality. In fact, similar to Capricci, here we admire real sculptural and architectural elements, but configured in an imaginary way, as well as various figures taken from sacred and secular stories.
