The white parts are made from high-quality resin, which is first turned and then polished to a high gloss. The barrel with white and green stripes is made from cellulose acetate, which has been carefully crafted and transformed into a sleeve. The distinctive double rings at the back of the barrel and on the cap blend seamlessly into the material. This is done with the utmost precision to achieve a virtually seamless transition between materials. The fountain pen features a fully rhodium-plated 14-carat gold nib and will be available in 4 widths: EF, F, M, and B. The matching ballpoint pen has a twist mechanism.

The origins of the Pelikan company trace back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on 28 April 1838 presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolours, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which the world-renowned brand developed. The German manufacturer specialises in producing luxury writing instruments.
