Description

The modern Emel sideboard adheres to the strict design directives under the guidance of the famous Italian rationalist architect and designer, Aldo Rossi. The urban influence of Rossi's and Malabar's aesthetics converge to create a contemporary and captivating piece.

The Emel sideboard is handcrafted, with central shelves made from ironwood and finished with an eclectic mosaic on the exterior, while the lacquered structure finished with high-gloss lacquer is supported by a polished brass base, adding a finishing touch to this classic piece of furniture with a modern edge.

The Emel Modern Sideboard is part of the World Architects collection.

Malabar was founded in 2012, with the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the stylish World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 unique collections of furniture and accessories.

Malabar has made its mark at the most prestigious international fairs, such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, or Seoul International. These are top-tier venues to showcase one's work.

Malabar's furniture production comes from the Porto area, a northern region in Portugal, with a long and strong tradition in handcrafted products.

The identity of this luxury brand is based on the national architectural and artistic heritage of the past 5 centuries.

International experience and the pursuit of perfection are the details that set the path for such original companies. Emotions, craftsmanship, and out-of-this-world design create an explosive mix of elegant furniture.

Various techniques of crafting products from natural wood yield amazing results, as seen in Malabar's unique collections. An important aspect of design is the combination of neutral and black colours.

Juicy and vivid colours dominate, significantly deviating from classic and template furniture.

In addition to wood, the manufacture uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colourful and fascinating, clearly visible in the bold furniture designs.

The company's name itself comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the cape. It was the value of original spices that prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

It remains so today, as Malabar sets very individual boundaries of design and evokes extreme emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely exclusive.

And these are precisely the goods we love and introduce to the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use in production?
