Pelikan Souveran M405 fountain pen from a German brand

The palladium-plated decorative elements give the Souverän 405 Black-Silver a distinctive, unique sheen. The black parts are made from high-quality, self-polishing black resin. The palladium-plated rings are so delicately integrated between the materials that the transitions between them are almost seamless. The series is offered as a fountain pen with a differential piston mechanism, a rollerball pen, a ballpoint pen, and a mechanical pencil with a push-button mechanism.

The origins of Pelikan date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on 28 April 1838 presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolours, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which the world-renowned brand developed. The German manufacturer specialises in producing luxury writing instruments.

Decades of experience, specially trained employees, and the utmost care at every stage of the production process ensure that each product is solidly crafted and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-carat gold. Additionally, they are sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver sheen. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
