Wojciech Odsterczyl

Wojciech Odsterczyl – artist from Krakow. Member of the "Let's Do Art" group. Pastelist – painter and, as he himself says, "creator of unusual engravings".

Unconventional pastel. Usually the subject of the work – the Hero – Someone. Uncomplicated and seemingly banal compositions hide the depth of feelings and demons dormant in the head of the artist, or rather the "creator", as he calls himself. The mixture of colors, penetrability and severity create a depth that is appreciated upon closer contact with the work. Wojciech's individual work allows him to release his sensitivity to the world around him. He escapes into a colorful world, reminiscent of childhood dreams and longings. The distorted, sometimes sad heroes of the paintings are an expression of what is in the soul, what is deep inside us and is ashamed to come out. Desires, fears and impressions were encapsulated in the form of a pastel crayon.
