Big Bao

The leather is folded into a new pattern, like in the art of origami: with this gesture, we are able to create and carve its shape. Big Bao is the medium of the BAO family, it can be made from full-grain leather or frosted leather, its dimensions are: cm 50x40x35h.

Their history is the story of a company designing and producing sustainable high-quality artisanal furniture. Tonucci Collection is the brand of the Tonucci Design studio.

The Tonucci Design studio was founded in 1970, when Enrico Tonucci began his design career in major Italian and international furniture companies, gaining significant experience as a designer, and over the years as an entrepreneur, through the founding and management of companies Triangolo, Arte Cuoio, and Teatro delle Muse. Viola Tonucci, who was educated in Urbino and at IED in Milan, completing studies related to graphics and industrial design with a specialisation in jewellery design, began collaborating with the studio in 2004, becoming a partner in 2012 until 2022, when she acquired a majority stake and took over the management of the brand.

Currently, the team consists of a handful of trusted collaborators who complement the sales and production departments.

MISSION

The creation of furniture and interior accessories by this company is carried out using natural materials with respect for the environment and people. The company's mission is, in fact, to combine design and production processes to create beauty and comfort, taking into account new environmental sensitivities and attention to the well-being of individuals in public and private spaces.
