Sartori is an Italian brand that was born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for good design with an ancient tradition of hand-woven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920 a second one in Rovigo, for selling home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern Sartori carpet design began to gain popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded the design of the Italian market to the whole world. These elegant carpets gained recognition globally, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required the opening of headquarters in China. A very important project emerged in 2008. From the collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea paved its way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. Thus, the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, repainted, and hand-stitched. This results in a unique and very special carpet, a product of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.

All our carpets are entirely handmade using exceptionally noble materials and are born from projects developed in Italy, under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international company that sells carpets of excellent quality and value worldwide and serves as a reference point for Italian-made designer carpets.
