Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling stylish carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, for selling home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern Sartori carpet design started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded the Italian market design to the entire world. These elegant carpets gained recognition globally, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required the opening of headquarters in China. An important project emerged in 2008. From the collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved its way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, repainted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special carpet, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.

Absolutely all our carpets are entirely handmade using high-quality noble materials and originate from projects developed in Italy, under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
