Description

Frank Lloyd Wright, the famous American architect and leader of the Prairie School, took us on a journey of modernist design, and Malabar designed the Volute Side Table, from the same family as the Volute Dining Table, combining the organic design of the building with marquetry technique. This modern and conceptual table features a top made of extra-clear glass with a lacquered iron frame finished with a high-gloss lacquer.

It is supported by a base composed of hardwood and lacquered wooden layers finished with a high-gloss lacquer. This artistic piece of furniture is an enigmatic decorative element for any interior.

The Malabar brand was founded in 2012, with the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the World Architects stylish furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 unique series of furniture and accessories.

Malabar has left its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are top-tier venues to showcase one's work.

Malabar's furniture production comes from the Oporto area, a northern region in Portugal, with a long and strong tradition in handmade products.

The identity of this prestigious brand is based on the national architectural and artistic heritage of the past 5 centuries.

International experience and the pursuit of perfection are the details that set the path for such original companies. Emotions, craftsmanship, and out-of-this-world design create an explosive mix of exclusive furniture.

Various techniques of manufacturing products from natural wood yield amazing results, as seen in Malabar's unique collections. An important aspect of design is the combination of neutral and black colours.

Vibrant and distinct colours dominate, significantly deviating from classic and template furniture.

Besides wood, the manufacture uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colourful and fascinating, clearly visible in the bold furniture designs.

The company's name itself comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the cape. It was the value of original spices that prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

This remains true today, as Malabar sets very individual boundaries of design and evokes extreme emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.

And these are precisely the goods we love and introduce to the My Luxury Products platform.
