In 1992, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Montegrappa manufactory, the first limited edition pen was produced. Boldly drawing inspiration from great historical events, culture, and the deepest passions of humankind, limited editions are the greatest pride of this manufactory.

The Eternal Bird Pen from a limited series of 10 pieces is additionally adorned with gemstones, featuring 244 diamonds and 2 rubies. The total diamond weight is 3.2 carats. It is presented in a valuable wooden box, styled exactly like the "The Dragon" collection. Its colour scheme matches the pen - red on the outside, black on the inside. Additionally, the lid of the box is decorated with a medallion depicting the head of the eternal bird.

For this unique fountain pen, Montegrappa designed and crafted an inkwell made from Madagascan rock crystal. The cover of the crystal ink container is also crafted using casting techniques in 18k sterling silver.
