History

L’ORIGINALE SINCE 1970

Lanciotto Galeotti was born in 1945 and from a young age showed great creativity and incredible manual skills. After completing his studies, he began working and established contacts with many Florentine craftsmen, who provided him with his first professional experiences. It was in these shops that his creativity was unleashed, focusing on creating interior lighting designs, as well as unique home accessories and jewellery.

His acquaintance with various Florentine sculptors led him to try his hand at sculpting clay and plasticine, which over the years expanded to metals such as brass and bronze. This became the original hallmark of his own creations.
FOR OVER 50 YEARS - L’ORIGINALE TODAY

The brand initially focused solely on interior decoration, but over the years it has developed, and today, in addition to a wide selection of chandeliers, wall lights, and table lamps, it is able to offer its customers a significant range of high-level decorations. Luxurious items that include tableware, household goods, and bathroom accessories.

All items are entirely made in the Sesto Fiorentino workshop, a stone's throw from Florence, where the alchemy of combining high-quality materials with the skilful craftsmanship of experienced artisans takes place. Hand-polished Tuscan crystals, turned Carrara marble, and Murano glass are combined with bronze and brass castings. The uniqueness of the company's products is the result of research, passion, and experience; their products perfectly combine prestige and elegance.
EXCLUSIVE PIECES

The main distinguishing feature of the company's products is the exclusive creations made by Lanciotto and his team of experienced craftsmen, including his son Andrea. These elements are the result of continuous research into shapes and details, and are therefore entirely handmade using plasticine. After crafting each detail, they are then cast in bronze using the ancient lost wax casting technique. All items are entirely and exclusively handmade in the Sesto Fiorentino workshop, where the entire process is carried out, from designing and producing the first prototype to actual production.

After more than 50 years of operation, L'Originale has developed the ability to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding clientele, and despite the vast range in their catalogue (approx. 1000 products), the workshop will create unusual pieces in any shape and size, ensuring they do not disappoint the trust of increasingly sophisticated customers, while maintaining the quality standard throughout the production process.
