The philosophy of the brand Berti Knives, which produces exclusive knives for various uses, stands in contrast to this state of affairs. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory seems entirely independent of the trends that have taken place worldwide during its years of operation. Its key value is a commitment to tradition, which is currently upheld by the fourth generation of these experienced craftsmen.
The owners firmly oppose the idea of mass production using unskilled labour, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products made. For this reason, the philosophy of their workshop places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are indeed welcome, provided they introduce elements that do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife creation are not handled by specialised groups of workers but are often completed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials - the blades are made of steel, and the handles are made from materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer horn, and 'bosso' wood.
