Beautiful Souverän 600 Black Green EF fountain pen

Appreciated and loved worldwide for decades. The Souverän design is unique, with each delicate, combined stripe on the material shining in its individual appearance. The production of the Souverän sleeve involves a complex process. The typical ribbed material is made from cellulose acetate based on a formula developed specifically for Pelikan. Completing the block that provides the stripes takes months, after which the custom-made covering is curved and trimmed to contour using a natural diamond.

The origins of the Pelikan company trace back to the chemist Carl Hornemann, who on 28 April 1838 presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolours, and the so-called Pelikan archive – it was the foundation of the company's production line, from which the globally renowned brand developed. The German manufacturer specialises in producing luxury writing instruments.

Decades of experience, specially trained employees, and the utmost care at every stage of the production process ensure that each product is solidly crafted and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-carat gold. Additionally, they are sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver sheen. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
