Malabar Manufacture was founded in 2012, with the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the World Architects collection of elegant furniture. It has designed and released a total of 5 unique collections of furniture and accessories.
Malabar has left its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, or Seoul International. These are top-tier venues to showcase one's work.
Malabar's design originates from the Porto area, a northern region in Portugal, with a long and strong tradition in handcrafted products.
The identity of this prestigious brand is based on the national architectural and artistic heritage of the past 5 centuries.
International experience and the pursuit of perfection are the details that set the path for such original companies. Emotion, craftsmanship, and out-of-this-world design create an explosive mix of luxury furniture.
Various techniques for crafting goods from natural wood yield amazing results, as seen in Malabar's unique collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colours.
Juicy and vivid colours dominate, significantly deviating from classic and template furniture.
In addition to wood, the manufacturer uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colourful and fascinating, as clearly seen in the bold furniture designs.
The company's name itself comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the cape. It was the value of original spices that prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a bold maritime route.
It remains so today, as Malabar sets very individual boundaries of design and evokes extreme emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely exclusive.
And these are the kinds of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.
