Description
Elio Ferrara was born in Naples in 1945. The works of Elio Ferrara are remembered to this day in Italy and various parts of the world; however, where he was most appreciated was his beloved France. Here, he created Paris-inspired themes using a powerful painting technique; thus were born marketplaces, outdoor bars, bistros, crowded avenues, and the nostalgic faces of local men and women.
Elio Ferrara is also a respected orientalist, having briefly lived in Cairo; there, struck by the local colour, he described its applications and customs.
