A beautiful lamp made of Italian ceramics - Bruno Costenaro

Undeniable creativity in ceramic design and an elite approach to the hand-finishing of every single product is the hallmark of the Italian brand Ceramiche Bruno Costenaro. Every item bearing the "B.C." label is meticulously produced following all the necessary steps to achieve a perfect product, shaped and finished to high quality. Each piece is modelled according to instructions personally dictated by Bruno Costenaro, reflecting his taste, the taste of his clients, and market trends. After the first model is produced, moulds are made for the production of the final products. This marks the beginning of the time-consuming process of creating this attractive ceramics. 

It all began when Bruno Costenaro, born in Bassano in 1940, started learning the secrets of ceramics. He was thirteen at the time, working in companies in Marostica and Cassola. At the age of twenty, he decided to create luxury ceramics from Italy, initially with two partners in the town of Vallonara, and later independently in the town of Pianezze. 

Over the years, demand for his products grew, and the company moved to Molvena. Initially, the small-scale production took place in the basement of his new residence, and after many setbacks, a workshop was built adjacent to his home, where he still works today. This demonstrates that family-run manufactories are thriving and creating true luxury. The strength of the manufactory was remarkable, thanks to the level of creativity, innovation, their interest in exporting, and the company's ability to overcome crises in this business sector, providing employment over the years to about seventy collaborators, whom Costenaro taught the trade: among them his children, who continue the business. 

On 26 March 2000, Bruno Costenaro received the honorary title of master craftsman of the province of Vicenza; in tribute to his exemplary conduct both personally and professionally, distinguished by his commitment to work and generosity in passing on techniques and values to future generations. To date, the company Ceramiche Bruno Costenaro has had the advantage of being one of the most prestigious ceramic factories in the area, always looking to the future, conducting research to satisfy its customers, providing them with high-quality artistic products. 

What is the process of creating this stylish ceramics? 

Each piece of ceramics from the mould is then hand-finished. It is lacquered using the "a bagno" (dipping) method, according to the colours chosen by the client (for example: white, black, ruby red, cobalt blue, emerald green), and then fired at a temperature of 1020. 

At this temperature, the lacquer makes each item durable and transparent. Finally, each piece is entirely hand-finished, thanks to the skills of Italian decorators, who achieve refined details in gold and platinum. Fired at a temperature of 600 \ 700 degrees, the final product is obtained, delicate in craftsmanship and meticulously finished in every detail. After polishing, each piece is marked, and a quality certificate from the factory is placed in a small package. The products are packed in cardboard boxes using a modern packing machine that creates soft cushions wrapping the delicate items. 

Thanks to this modern packaging method, there is never an issue with damaged goods or destroyed items. However, all cardboard boxes are included in a euro pallet (breath 80 cm x depth 120 cm), ensuring the goods are safer and there is no issue with missing items. Upon the product's arrival, the client can attest to the quality of the received product, having purchased an item from Ceramiche Bruno Costenaro. 

Today, the manufactory has expanded to include: gifts, complete series consisting of central elements, baskets, vases, picture frames, ashtrays, plates, lamps, columns, cachepots, mirrors, panels, candlesticks, clocks, tables, and swans.
